There are still many children who need our help.

The Ban Khok Na Ko Association was started in Geneva at the begining of 2004.

The main goal is to use contributions to  further the education of underprivileged children in the Mekong  area  (Isarn Thailand) and  rural upland  area in Laos (map).

In these  areas, poverty prevents the majority of children  from completing even basic education.

Through the projects we can support children who are determined  to continue their education, despite the odds beings against them.

 

The Ban Khok Na Ko Association supports different  initiatives :



-  Direct help to single families. We  pay for a child’s school fees and 
 necessities such as books, uniform and food for one year.

- Funds are also be used to build Family-Farms to provide the minimum income  necessary for life  in the countryside for families with  parents and children.

-  Laotian countryside schools :
 We  provide  essentials such as blackboards, equipments and books.

-  Laotian countryside schools : We finance the building of schools with the concept of Integrated Schools  with School Farms and School Garden.

By the end of 2004, we had helped  six  families (10 children) with direct monthly payments  and  five  Family-Farms (16 pigs farm)  is being operated  by families.

The plan for 2009 is to help  new families and to build  new Family-Farms.

The Association is  owner of a 3 Rai ( 4’800 m2) field  in Isarn for  farming initiatives.

Village farms are planed in North Laos (Alternative Resources Project)

Primary Schools  were build in the Vang Vieng District (Ban Phouxai) and in the Xai Ta Nee District (Integrated Scholl, Ban Xaisom Boun).

Construction of the Ban None Hai Secondary school completed in october 2008.

Current  projects : school buildings in Muang Feuang District ,

Nam Or District (OudomXai Province) and Xien Ngeun District (Luang Prabang Province)
